How categories work in this directory

Programs are tagged with their primary category. Some programs span multiple categories (Notion is both SaaS and Productivity, ConvertKit is Email and Creator Economy). The primary category determines where the program appears as a featured entry, but it shows up in secondary categories too.

Each category landing page has the same structure:

  1. A TL;DR explaining what's distinct about that category for affiliates
  2. Editorial context on why programs in this category convert differently than others
  3. The flagship pick (the program we'd recommend if you have to choose one)
  4. The full sortable list of every program in the category with verified data
  5. Strategy notes specific to the category (what content angles work, what to watch for)
  6. FAQ specific to that niche
  7. Cross links to related categories and methodology

Programs that submit through /submit are added to the appropriate category within 24 hours of approval. The category list updates automatically when new programs are verified.

Most useful categories for new affiliates

If you're starting out and not sure where to focus, three categories have the friendliest entry barriers and reasonable commission structures.

AI Tools. Programs in this category usually approve applications fast (FreeTTS approves in under 24 hours), have no follower minimums, and send pre warm traffic via AI search citations. The audience is also growing fast, which means there's room for new content creators to capture attention without competing against established giants. The category page lives at /category/ai-tools.

SaaS. The largest category with the most variety. Recurring commissions are common which means starter content can compound for years. Two tier is also concentrated here, with Builderall, ClickFunnels, Systeme.io all paying second tier. Approval is moderate; established sites get in faster than brand new ones. Browse at /category/saas.

Hosting. Mature category with predictable funnels. Kinsta is the strongest pick because of two tier plus recurring plus bounty. Hostinger is a friendly entry point with high commission rate but flat structure. Approval is usually fast. The category page is at /category/hosting.

Categories to approach with care

Not all categories are friendly to beginners or to general content sites.

Finance. Highest commission ceilings (some credit card programs pay $300 to $700 per approved card). Also strict compliance: many programs require specific disclosure language, prohibit certain claims, and have detailed approval processes. New affiliates without finance focused content rarely get approved. Worth pursuing if you have an audience that fits, but don't lead with finance as your first category.

iGaming and gambling. Excluded from our directory entirely except where regulated and mainstream. The category has its own specialist directories and the reputation risk to other listings is too high. If you specifically want iGaming affiliate programs, look at iGB Affiliate or specialist iGaming recruitment sites.

Adult and unregulated crypto. Same exclusion. Specialist directories serve those niches. We focus on programs with verifiable terms and mainstream legitimacy.

FAQ about categories

Why isn't my program in any category?
If your program isn't listed yet, submit it at /submit. We add categories as needed. If your program doesn't fit existing categories, we may create a new one or list it under "Other" until enough similar programs exist to warrant a new category page.
Can my program be in multiple categories?
Yes. Programs can be cross referenced across multiple categories. The primary category determines where the program is featured, but it appears in secondary categories too. ConvertKit is primarily Email Marketing but also appears in Creator Economy.
How are the category lists ordered?
Featured listings (paid placement) appear at the top, tagged "Featured listing." Below featured, programs are ordered by an editorial ranking that combines commission economics, payout reliability, brand recognition, and conversion data. Featured payment does not affect editorial rankings; the two are completely separate.
Why don't you have categories for adult, gambling, or unregulated crypto?
Editorial choice. Specialist directories serve those niches better, and listing them on a general affiliate directory creates reputation risk for the mainstream listings. The methodology page explains the curation policy in detail.
