In-depth review

Stay22: one script for hotel links across the big booking sites

What Stay22 is

Stay22 is not a single travel brand but a monetisation tool for travel publishers. You add its free script to your site, and it converts the accommodation links on your pages into tracked links, routing each reader to a suitable booking site. Stay22 says it has agreements with Booking.com, Expedia, KAYAK, Hotels.com, Tripadvisor, Trivago and Vrbo.

Why publishers use it

The main benefit is protection from program changes. Booking.com moved its affiliates from its own program to Awin in 2025 and then away from Awin in 2026, and each move forced publishers to rewrite their links. A site running Stay22 tracks links to the booking site rather than one company's program, so a network change on the booking site's side does not break your pages.

What it pays

Stay22's own FAQ says its commission split starts at 30%, which it describes as the same or more than working with the booking sites directly, with the split rising for sites with more traffic. It pays within 30 days. The split is a share of the commission Stay22 earns from the booking site, so your real income depends on which site each reader books with.

Who it suits

Travel blogs with many old hotel links, publishers who do not want to manage several hotel programs, and sites that were hit by the Booking.com changes.

Our take

Less a program than a layer on top of them, and a sensible one for hotel heavy sites. You trade part of the commission for one integration and resilience against network moves. Ungraded until there is a payout record.
