The best web hosting affiliate programs in 2026

Hosting is still one of the best paying niches in affiliate marketing, but the programs pay in very different ways. Some pay $50 once, some pay $1,500, and a few pay you every month for as long as the customer stays. Here is every host we track, with the terms read from their own affiliate pages.

The short answer

For most content sites, SiteGround is the easiest hosting program to earn from: $50 per sale rising to $100 or more, a 60 day cookie, and weekly payouts with no minimum. Kinsta is the strongest for WordPress professionals, with a one time bonus of up to $500 plus 10% of every monthly payment for life.

The biggest single payout is Liquid Web, up to $1,500 on business hosting. The longest cookie is WP Engine's 180 days. And Hostinger, often quoted at 60%, now says its commission starts at 40% and grows with volume.

Bounty, recurring, or both

The model matters more than the number. A bounty pays once, soon after the sale clears. A recurring share pays a little every month and only adds up if the customer stays. Hosting is unusual because customers rarely move a working site, which makes recurring deals here more valuable than in most niches.

The flat bounty hosts

Most hosts pay a single amount on the first order. SiteGround starts at $50 per sale and moves to $100 or more as your referrals grow, and top performers can negotiate custom deals. It also pays 60% of the first year on SiteGround's other services when someone you send buys those instead of hosting. GreenGeeks pays up to $100 per sale, rising with your volume, every month by PayPal. WPX pays up to $100 per sale.

At the top end, WP Engine pays $100 on its Lite plan and, on every other plan, $200 or the first month's payment, whichever is higher. It moved its affiliate program to Everflow, so older guides that send you to ShareASale are out of date. Liquid Web advertises 300% or more of the sale, up to $1,500, which reflects the size of its dedicated and business plans rather than a shared hosting order.

The recurring hosts

DigitalOcean pays 10% of a referred user's monthly spend for a full year, through CJ. Because cloud bills grow as a project grows, a developer who starts small and scales can be worth far more in month twelve than in month one. WHMCS, the billing software many hosting companies run on, pays 15% for the life of the customer, and DotMoose pays 20% recurring on hosting, VPS, storage and managed apps.

Both at once

Kinsta is the clearest example of a host that pays both ways: a one time bonus of up to $500 plus 10% of every monthly payment for life, with a 60 day cookie and last touch attribution. Kinsta's own page quotes a churn rate of 2%, which is why it can afford a lifetime share. Cloudways advertises up to $125 per sale alongside a lifetime recurring option for higher tier customers.

A recurring share is worth most on hosting that grows. Cloud and managed hosting bills rise as a site gains traffic. A flat bounty is fixed on the day of the sale; 10% of a bill that doubles keeps pace with your referral's success.

Who pays fastest, and when the money arrives

Hosting programs hold commission until the host's money back period has passed, because a refunded customer earns you nothing. That hold, plus the payout schedule, decides how long you wait. Here is what each host says.

SiteGround stands out: weekly payouts and no minimum, so even one sale reaches you quickly. DreamHost also has no minimum, but its 97 day hold means a sale made in January is paid at the end of April. If cash flow matters to you, the schedule can be worth more than an extra $25 on the headline.

Cookie windows: who gives a slow buyer time

People rarely buy hosting on the first visit. They read reviews, compare plans and come back. The cookie decides whether you are still credited when they do.

Attribution rules matter as much as length. Kinsta uses last touch, so a later click on someone else's link takes the sale. Our cookie duration data shows how hosting compares with other niches.

Four traps that cost hosting affiliates money

The bottom line

For a typical blog, start with SiteGround for its fast, no minimum payouts and a host your readers can afford. Add Kinsta or WP Engine if your audience runs serious WordPress sites, and DigitalOcean if they are developers.

Whatever you pick, plan on the starting tier, recommend the bundle in one checkout, and count the money only after the refund hold.

Frequently asked questions

Which web hosting affiliate program pays the most?
The largest stated payout is Liquid Web, which advertises 300% or more of the sale, up to $1,500, aimed at dedicated and business hosting. For ordinary shared hosting, flat payouts of $50 to $125 are typical: SiteGround starts at $50 and rises to $100 or more, and GreenGeeks pays up to $100. Kinsta adds a one time bonus of up to $500 to 10% of every monthly payment for life.
Which hosting affiliate programs pay recurring commission?
Kinsta pays 10% of every monthly payment for life on top of its one time bonus. DigitalOcean pays 10% of a referred user's monthly spend for a full year. WHMCS pays 15% for the life of the customer, and DotMoose pays 20% recurring. Most other hosts pay a single bounty on the first order.
Which hosting affiliate program pays fastest?
SiteGround pays every week with no minimum threshold, so a single sale can be paid within days of clearing. Most hosts pay monthly and hold the commission for a refund period first: DreamHost holds for 97 days and WP Engine pays once the referral is 62 days old.
What is the longest cookie in web hosting affiliate programs?
WP Engine gives 180 days, the longest of the hosts we have checked this month. Liquid Web gives 90 days and Kinsta and SiteGround 60. Hosting buyers often compare for weeks, so a long cookie protects a lot of sales that a 30 day window would lose.
Is the Hostinger affiliate program still 60%?
Hostinger's affiliate page now says commission starts at 40% of each eligible sale and grows with your sales volume. Higher figures you may see quoted are the top of that scale, not the starting rate.
Why do hosting affiliate programs hold commissions for so long?
Most hosts offer a money back guarantee, often 30 days or more, and they will not pay you for a customer who asks for a refund. The hold covers that window plus their own processing. DreamHost's 97 day hold and WP Engine's 62 days are examples; check the hold before you count on the money.
